About

Is criticism of Israel antisemetic? Not always, but it’s usually wrong.

On the well-intentioned side, such as mainstream news organizations, there is misinformation from a lack of context or details and a basic flaw in thinking that Muslim violence is a response to Israeli actions. That some Jews are part of this group doesn’t change the fact, it only makes it sadder. On the hateful side that often bleeds into the mainstream, there is disinformation, propaganda and lies- and there are Muslims and other Gentiles who recognize it.

Supporters of Israel need to focus on correcting misleading and improper words instead of criticizing the people who say them.

We’re sad to see Arabs and Israelis suffering.

The number one factor since 1920 has been the radicals on the Arab-Muslim side. They were a small minority in the early years and have always hurt their own people as much- or more, really- as they have the Jews. There were Arab moderates who wished to live in peace with the Jews in a number of scenarios over the decades, but the extremists overshadowed, intimidated, exiled or murdered them.

We acknowledge Israeli mistakes or misdeeds and place them in the appropriate context that others ignore.

It’s easy to cherry-pick excerpts, quotes and events to create a narrative.

“Fundamentals” refer to the things that didn’t change with future revelations and are not opinions. For example, the War of 1967 was Israel’s response to years of terrorism and warmongering (see preview). That’s a verifiable fact that cannot be denied. What Israel could have done afterwards is a matter of opinion. Of course, not all opinions are based on proper knowledge…
